Friday Mornings- New Moms

Normally, we put a picture of the small group leader here and this is no exception. But in this case, you will have to decide for yourself who the real leaders are! Sometimes, as a new parent, it feels a lot like the baby is the boss! Our small group is a place where moms can come with their young children and not worry about who is watching them. You will be! Our kids will be right here with us snuggling, sleeping, nursing, and sometimes even participating (we have very smart kids!) while we study the Bible together and lift each other up. We meet on Friday mornings at 11:00am starting September 19th, 2008 right here at our Corona Hills building.
For the record though, you’re looking at a picture of Mandy and Samantha Wengert and Vanessa and Luke Schmit.

Monday Night- College Age

Hi, my name is Nick Bradshaw. I’ve been coming to New Life since 2003 and I am on staff as the youth director. I used to think I had spare time, but since I married my awesome wife, Andrea in 2005, started working a second job at Starbucks, and now am a father for the first time (a son!) I now realize
that I have forgotten the meaning of that phrase! However, I do find time to squeeze in some SportsCenter, listen to some podcasts, and make an occasional trip to Disneyland. You’ll like the college group because we take the time to dig deep into God’s Word and have great fellowship together!

This group is open to all College age people. It is lead by Nick Bradshaw and is held in Riverside at 7:00pm.

Wednesday Night- Couples

Hi, you’re looking at a picture of my wife, Janell and me. My name is Jacob Ruiz, but you can call me Jake. I’ve been coming to New Life for about five years and on Sunday mornings you can usually find me running the power point slides or hanging around by the railing outside. On the job, I’m an accountant, but when I’m not working I like reading, and playing softball/baseball. My favorite food is a toss-up between Mexican food and pizza. If you like learning about God, making new friends and just plain being real, you will like our small group. Come and check us out.

Tuesday Night- Seth Schmit

Hi, my name is Seth Schmit. I’ve been at New Life since 1998 and I currently lead worship, coordinate the Sunday services, and a whole list of other stuff! I’ve been married for 6 years to my beautiful wife, Vanessa and we have two children, one daughter, Bethany and our son Luke. I also have 3 Chihuahua’s. My favorite hobbies are playing guitar and basketball, eating my wife’s chicken tacos and listening to my iPod. If your favorite channel is the Weather Channel, you will get along just fine with me!

Sunday Night- Everyone Tom and Mandy Wengert

Hi, my name is Tom Wengert and I’ve been married to my lovely wife, Mandy for four years. We’ve been attending New Life for a little over seven years now and you can usually find me on Sunday mornings hanging out in the family room playing with my new daughter. I am an accountant by day and when I’m not on the job, I like camping, snow boarding, hiking, etc. My favorite food is anything Italian. I don’t really have a favorite Bible verse, but Mandy’s is Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Tuesday Night - Scott & Denise Weisheit

Hi, my name is Scott Weisheit and this is my wife of fourteen years, Denise. We’ve been attending New Life for about seven years now. I am a manager for the U.S. Postal Service and when I’m not on the job, I like watching movies, roller-skating and snow skiing. My favorite food is ice cream, and my favorite movies are Ocean’s 11, 12, and 13. I have a somewhat unusual hobby. It is wristwatch collecting and I have over 30 to date. One of the things you will notice at our small group is that we love to have fun! Why don’t you come over and find out for yourself!

Wednesday Night-Webster Group

Hi, my name is Ned Webster and this is my wife of 31 years, Rayann. (We were high school sweethearts!) We’ve been attending New Life since 1999. By day I am a concrete contractor and by night I am a football/basketball fan. I like fishing, diving, watching old movies, and relaxing in my Jacuzzi. God has really been at work in our small group. One of the things I like most is just looking back and realizing how much the members in the group have grown in their relationships with Christ. It’s been awesome! If you like spending time with funny, honest, accepting people, you will love our group!
